FOOTBALL!

For anyone that knows me, there is definitely one thing that EVERYONE knows: I LOVE FOOTBALL. College and Pro football- Florida Gators and Pittsburgh Steelers. :) Tonight is the night where the Superbowl teams are decided. So far, it's a definite yes for the Green Bay Packers. Currently, I'm watching the Steelers vs New York Jets: my hope is for a STEELERS victory! On a side note: today was a great day for my family. We had a great service at church, a great lunch prepared at home (where we introduced Raspberries to the kiddos- how did we miss that?), and a nice family day overall playing Yahtzee and watching movies! My hun and I are both suffering with toothaches today, but alas, it was a great day overall! I'll depart with a lovely picture...
Cross your fingers for a win!!! BLACK AND YELLOW!

A Picture Worth a Thousand Words--- and really big smiles too!

Tonight, I am inspired by one thought: Our Family is a Circle of Strength and Love! Yes, that's right. I got this saying from a beautiful decorative picture that I came across in a fabric store. This phrase did (and still does) all kinds of things to my soul. My heart smiled with gushy feelings and my spine straightened a little bit more in a fierce warrior defense stance complete with the mixture of pride and adoration for my family. Like all others, we've had our ups and downs. We are imperfect people constantly being tested and not always walking away with a fat 100 Excellent Job kinda score. We faulter, we fail. We trip and fall and stumble back to our feet. And in the end, we keep on going. So, I'm sure you can tell where this is going. I wanted that frame in my house. I was rushing to get to class and left my sweet Nathan and his mom there to finish purchasing the items we were there for initially, leaving no more thought to that frame other than "I will be back for you!" And yes, you guessed it- that handsome man bought that frame for me! How great is he?! It is now proudly displayed in my living room with a whole wall all to itself. :-)

I look to it often and smile real big, and again feel at peace with where my heart is: HOME. My family keeps me going; they are my inner circle of insanity sanity, comfort and memories. Big thanks to Nathan for giving me yet another wonderful gift. XoXo

Hello!

Let me start off by saying---- It's late! :-) Not what you expected, I know. But, alas, it is around 12:15a.m., and I am very dead tired on my feet (my eyelids are drooping heavily and my head is slowly drifting down preparing to slam into the kitchen table at any moment!). I'm really excited about starting this blog. I'll share all kinds of stories and events from my life [both boring and exciting] and hopefully my lessons will impact someone out there in blogworld. Until the next time... :)
"This is my wish for you: Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, and love to complete your life."
